Returning visitors will again find a new direction in my latest work. Called ‘paper batik’ it is not what you might imagine. It relies on good, strong drawing to start with, then the image is developed through a series of stages during which the final outcome is always uncertain but is often surprising. I am exploring the many subjects which lend themselves to this fascinating technique, from Life painting to the ever-enthralling drystane dykes that surround me and beyond...(that includes my 18 year-old cat!)
