Hannah McAndrew

My love affair with clay began back at university. As with all relationships over time we share passion, adoration, and understanding and sometimes sheer frustration. Add to the mix some flame in my wood fired kiln and you get a potter who is addicted, excited and still enthralled by her simple palette of materials. Since my trip to America I have been making pots which in many ways echo more strongly my particularly British tradition of slipware but are also somehow more of me and of now than ever before.
