I produce a variety of thrown porcelain decorative pots. With each piece attention is paid to achieving elegance and clarity of form, which then becomes a canvas for spontaneous decorative marks. The circular mark works as a visual contrast where the fluidity of the circle enhances the crisp controlled curves of the pot in one satisfying swoop of the brush.
I am informed and inspired by the making process itself, which offers up endless possibilities. I aim to make something of beauty to be admired and pondered.
