Leo Blamire
I am a painter, printmaker, framer and musician. Recent oil paintings are of animals -dogs, pigs, cats, rabbits. I capture the essence of their character - reading human thoughts into them. I build many thin layers of oils on gesso covered panels; finishing with fine brush strokes. I enjoy creating bright, patterned backgrounds. My screenprints reflect a slightly quirky view of life - with bold, colourful and decorative shapes creating a slightly 'retro' look. I am working on a series of framed fine pen drawings which will also be on sale.
