Maggie Ayres

Passion for texture and disintegration continue to offer inspiration for my work as metaphor for experience and memory, particularly issues of femininity. Impressions or rubbings taken from natural forms allow me to explore line and shadow worked through a series of graphite, charcoal and ink studies into mixed-media canvases, constructed fibre pieces and sculptural vessels.

As well as being able to view a featured work through the creative processes, visitors may enter a draw to win the piece as well as making their own rubbings to take away.
