Texture and light are what excite me. Gilding is an ancient craft that is all about using reflected light to emphasize texture and energize a space. So it was fortunate that I trained as a tradional gilder, working first in the antique trade but more recently to design my own mirrors and frames. This year I have pushed the boundaries of my craft out even further by introducing colour along with gold leaf to create delicately textured gessoed panels. The very popular "Bowls of Light" will also be on display.
