I make paintings from an environmentalist stance, informed by research into the writer and mountaineer Nan Shepherd. I go walking a lot, in Scotland, Iceland and Finland, and convert the memories of the experiences into the direct tactile qualities of paint, collage, colour and image.
What to Expect: Visitors will be welcomed into a working studio, with paintings and supporting work on display. The wood stove will be lit, there will be coffee, and the chance to have a go with oil paints, or simply chat and browse among the sketches and books.
