Visitors to the studio will see contemporary painting-based work based on responses to the environment, place, time and change.  I am very keen on outdoor activities like hill-walking, running and ski-ing, and much of my work starts with the direct experience of physical movement in the landscape, as well as the practices of looking, observing, sketching and drawing.   Influenced by nature, art history, literature and culture, in my work I engage with flux, movement and reflection, and try to invent ways of seeing and feeling in terms of visual forms.
