Roger Lever
My work is about capturing the absolute essence of a subject, whether it be the portrait of a ninety year old person, the rugged elemental landscape of the Western Isles, or the movement of an elusive wild animal on the vast open plains of Africa. Whatever the subject it is the light that lets us see it, and as a photographer I like to explore the way light shapes and shifts our perspective in a moment. My aim is to capture that moment. I will also be offering my Scottish visitors the chance to take part in a NEW PROJECT which will be starting this year and continuing throughout 2014 1000facesscotland.com - the aim of this project is “to capture the soul of our nation by taking photographs of its people today”.
