My work is concerned with how our reading of paintings is dependent on prior expectation of what an art subject is. I am drawn to objects or places that have pattern or beauty as a result of functional design, as opposed to any deliberate aesthetic choice.
My recent work has incorporated multiple viewpoints and compositions based on chance. Having been in Wasps studios for over a year now has allowed me to be more ambitious both the scale and scope of my work.
