2nd April

6 - 8pm Vernissage with a Scottish DJ, drinks and Scottish inspired h'orderves

9pm Performance 'Making with Cloth' by Denise Zygadlo & Morag Macpherson feat. Katie Anderson.

A short sequence that takes the form of a chain reaction as one artist responds to another. Bringing a little flavour of Dumfries and Galloway the soundscape by Katie Anderson draws upon an interest in background audio and ambient sound. The performance by Denise Zygadlo is a repetitive sequence representing the intimacy of our connection with and experience of cloth, which underlies the concepts of her work. In contrast, Morag Macpherson works with vibrant pattern and colour and shows her finished designs in the form of robes and silk scarves, working together and interdependently.

Music composed and produced by Rudi Zygadlo

4th April

2 – 4pm

'Print Studio Zine' Katie Anderson & Sarah Stewart

Activating the gallery space by creating a temporary ‘print studio’, the artists will produce a limited edition run of postcard-sized zines. Drawing on Sarah’s background in screen printing and Katie’s interest in context based responsive practice, the zines will reflect the artists’ rural backgrounds contrasted with their immediate responses to the urban context of Berlin.Drop by the Green Hill Gallery to meet and chat to the artists as they work and find out more about their artistic practice, and take home a zine!

'Make Your Own' Shona Guthrie & Suzi Plunkett

Combining their distinctive styles and technical specialties, Shona and Suzi have created three mixed media wall mounted artworks full of atmosphere and intrigue. They would like to invite the public to take part in their workshop whereby people are able to create and take home their very own bespoke art piece. Shona and Suzi will supply all of the necessary tools and materials including a wide selection of indigenous creatures and beautiful natural castings to choose from, so that participants will need nothing more than a little imagination to create a personalised and unique piece of art to take away with them.
