Suzanne Stuart Davies & Malcolm Davies: Summer Gallery Opens
6th July 2012Painters Suzanne Stuart Davies & Malcolm Davies are opening their Summer Gallery from the 3rd of July to the 29th of September to show their paintings of contemporary landscape & natural history. Opening Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, the Summer Gallery at Auchenhay is 2 miles along a well maintained lane off the A712, the Crocketford to New Galloway road, near Corsock. It was formerly the shepherd’s cottage for the farm at Auchenhay, where the road ends.
The byre has been sensitively transformed by a team of local builders and will have paintings on the walls throughout the summer months. Parking and a path have been created, which leads on into the garden, where visitors are welcome to wander – and sit, when it’s fine. Sculpture by Elizabeth Waugh of Langholm will also feature in the area beside the byre.
