I use a wide variety of print media to produce images of birds and landscape. I draw inspiration from various parts of Scotland with an increasing focus on the far north. My images are accessible without being sentimental. I always aim for simplicity.
What to expect: The studio contains two presses and a variety of other pieces of printmaking equipment which I’ll be using for demonstrations over the weekend. In addition, there is a dedicated gallery space where framed and unframed work, books and cards will be on display.
Directions: Seymour House is on the B7085 (the Wigtown road) on the edge of the village. It is the first house on the right after the traffic calming coming from Wigtown.
Accessibility: Stairs to first floor, but the majority of the work and the studio are on the ground floor. One step down into garden and up into the house but toilet facilities are on the ground floor.
Recommendation: The View, Port William’s Cafe 07990 868 432. Run by PIRSAC our inshore lifeboat charity, located on the harbour.
