I grind my own pigments from locally sourced rocks and clays to create abstract painted images, and construct 3D pieces from recycled material collected from local beaches.

What to expect: All stages of processing rocks to create paints then paintings, and reclaimed rubbish and local plants to make tiny bowls and baskets. Plus tea & cakes and some friendly chat about the theory and practice of creating artworks directly from the local environment.

Directions: From Borgue village take the turn towards Carrick. After 2 miles turn left before a small bridge. Pass the tiny Kirkandrews Kirk. The Laundry is on the left straight after.

Accessibility: More or less level access to studio from outside, rest of house (and toilet) on different levels with stairs.

Recommendation: The unique miniature Kirkandrews kirk with Arts & Crafts influence, specially open for Spring Fling. Also walks on the beach.

10% discount for Friends of Spring Fling.
