I have been experimenting recently with collage and mixed media, which has added another dimension to my watercolours. I have a love of wild places, particularly the Western Isles. Using memory and imagination the finished work is often a combination of reality and abstraction.

What to expect: I am happy to explain how I develop my work from conception to the finished painting. There will be examples of work at different stages to illustrate this transition. I will have original paintings, prints and greetings cards for sale.

Directions: From the A75 take the A711 into Kirkcudbright. From St Mary Street turn right into Daar Road. The WASPS Studios are at the end of the council car park.

Accessibility: Studio is on 2nd floor. Not suitable for wheelchairs.

Recommendation: Walk along the river Dee from Kirkcudbright towards Tongland (2.5 hours).

10% off giclee prints to Friends of Spring Fling.
