The beauty of trees and solace of woodlands currently form my inspiration for paintings. I paint evocative images of local scenes, using a limited palette to reflect the quality of light at particular times of the day, and create textile pieces using recycled materials.
What to expect: Expect the chaos of a working studio (with works in progress and my materials on show) sitting happily alongside the calm of a gallery display space (showing finished originals, prints and cards). Refreshments will be served and dogs will be welcomed with a doggy treat!
Directions: From Dumfries High Street: head towards Burns Statue and turn left down Friars Vennel. At the crossroads, turn right. Cloud 9 is located on your immediate left.
Accessibility: Level entrance into the gallery, with ramp into the main display area. Accessible to wheelchairs, mobility scooters and buggies. Disabled bay opposite gallery.
Recommendation: The Dumfries Larder, High Street, Dumfries – highly recommend the artisan cheeses, speciality foods and locally made gins and beers.
