I work with kiln formed opaque bullseye glass. I produce a range of distinctive contemporary designs including tableware, lighting and a collection of work: ‘Glass Meadow’. Techniques I use are fusing, slumping, draping and sandblasting the glass to create the bold outlines that define my style.
What to expect: This year viewers will see a new collection of designs – ‘Birds of Paradise’ – and some new designs to my Glass Meadow collection. You will be welcomed by walls covered in Glass Flowers and a wide collection of tableware and jewellery.
Directions: From the Robert The Bruce pub, walk down Castle Street to the cross roads with George Street. Cross over George Street and turn left to walk down George Street, the next turning on your right is Nith Avenue. Or take the next turning on your right into Gordon Street and there you will find a car park and Ottersburn Gallery.
Accessibility: Toilet is upstairs.
Recommendation: Mrs Green’s Tea Room, 16 Queensbury Street, Dumfries – great for lunch, coffee and cakes.
I will have a prize draw for one of my small glass daisy’s.
