I work as an illustrator using lino cut prints. Most of my work is commissioned by a publisher or a graphic designer. Plants and the countryside are frequent themes, also historical subjects. In February each year I teach lino cut workshops in Thornhill.
What to expect: Visitors can use my small cast iron press for making a print with inks and rollers. There is a display of my illustration work: packaging and book covers and postage stamps. Framed and unframed work is for sale, and you can look into my workroom.
Directions: In the centre of Thornhill take the turning signposted Gatelawbridge 2.5 miles. At the letterbox on a post, park your car, or bear left. My house is first on the left, after the bridge.
Accessibility: There are two internal steps.
Recommendation: Thomas Tosh is a spacious and stylish venue for meeting your friends for a coffee or lunch. Great food and gifts.
