Beauty in the landscape is what I like to capture, whether it be light or atmosphere that inspires me. I work in various mediums though recently have favoured watercolour and acrylic. I enjoy the challenge of watercolour since it has a mind of its own.
What to expect: Visitors will see work in progress, finished paintings, limited edition giclee prints and cards. My tools and materials will be on display in my working studio (which is upstairs) where I will be pleased to answer any questions. Teas and home baking in the garden.
Directions: Gatelawbridge is 2.5 miles east of Thornhill. Entering Gatelawbridge (coming from Thornhill) ‘Broomlea’ is the second house on the left after crossing the bridge.
Accessibility: The exhibition and shop are easy accessible on the ground floor. Wheelchairs may require assistance over the low step at the front and rear doors.
Recommendation: Morton Castle is a ruin which was built in the 14th century and was last occupied in 1715. There are nature trails around the castle and loch.
