Art is how I make sense of the world and share experiences and ideas. Drawing is my foundation, painting is my commitment. I am constantly amazed at the power of paint and lines to communicate with people.

What to expect: Paintings featuring trees will fill the Ottersburn Gallery during my Spring Fling artist residency there. It’s a tribute to all the trees that enrich our world, a love that began by climbing the old apple tree in my childhood backyard.

Directions: From Gracefield: Exit carpark, turning left. Follow A701/A780. After Burns Statue and bus circle, take next left into Irish Street. Gallery is 200m on the right.

Accessibility: There is level access but the toilet is upstairs. Limited street parking just outside the gallery but more nearby.

Recommendation: Moat Brae National Centre for Children’s Literature is right round the corner on George St., lovely museum with cafe, adventure playground with river view.
