D&G Arts Festival
The Arts Festival runs in May each year. Why not complement your Spring Fling experience with some music, theatre, or comedy during the evening when the studios close, or at other times through the Festival?
Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival is Scotland’s largest rural performing arts Festival.
For the past 44 years they have brought world class theatre, music, dance, comedy and spoken word to audiences across our beautiful region, enriching the lives of our communities through the transformative power and joy of the performing arts.
Highlights of the 2023 programme included an immersive music, food and drink event in Castle Douglas, tongue-in-cheek comedy by Craig Hill in Dumfries, intimate Pop-Up Opera from Scottish Opera in Sanquhar and Moniaive, and A Play, a Pie and a Pint in Moffat, Dumfries and Stranraer.
As Dumfries and Galloway’s only regionwide performing arts organisation, as well as this Festival, DGAF also provides a wide range of programmes and activities through the rest of the year.
