The past year has been a very busy year for me. Since last Spring Fling I have been selling my paintings through Scotland Art in Glasgow. They have an enthusiastic staff and sell online as well as in the gallery in Bath Street.
My paintings are also in galleries in Portobello and Godalming, Surrey.
I was delighted to be part of a lovely mixed exhibition in London in September. The work was by four women artists and was an inspiration.
My Solo Exhibition Verge was in December at The Dundas Street Gallery, Edinburgh and opened with mulled wine and carol singing! I was delighted to sell a number of paintings even though it was just a few days before Christmas.
After Spring Fling last year I decided to apply to Leith School of Art to study contemporary art practice for a year. I have been attending the course since September 2019. I am enjoying the challenge of engaging in practices other than painting. We study the work of artists from around the world whose contemporary practices are very varied. I am working on pieces relating to the environment around my studio. This term continues virtually. You can see some of the work on my website.
In 2020 I had hoped to do Spring Fling, Pittenweem Arts Festival and a Solo Show in Edinburgh but will need to wait and see what happens later in the year. If it becomes possible, I may open my studio on the occasional Saturday and Sunday and if necessary have a one way system and social distancing.
I would like to thank all of you who have been so supportive this past year and I hope to see you before too long. Meanwhile, please check out my website.
