Ella McCreath

Having studied sculpture for my degree, I have now turned to ceramics. I am drawn to the thrown form and have a love of simple, functional pieces. I am becoming interested in using other contrasting materials with white earthenware. I favour classic lines and forms but the pieces are contemporary.

About My Practice

I produce items such as bowls, butter domes, match pots and cheese boards.

Tools & Materials

I make wheel-thrown earthenware ceramics for everyday domestic use. I usually use a white glaze and combine my pieces with hand-stitched leather and wood. I also intend to explore thread, wicker and wire.
