My Practice
My work reflects the cyclical passage of time and visual seasonal change through pattern, texture and colour.
Tools & Materials
I think of my studio as a small sanctuary that I can go to make work, undisturbed by little hands and everything as I left it. I work with a geli plate to print onto fabric and my sewing machine and embroidery threads to add detail to the printed fabrics. Fabrics are mainly from unwanted clothes and curtains and I have recently organised them which feels great. I use different papers like maps, pages from old books and hand made papers to combine with the fabrics into patchworks and artists books. I have small collections of objects as well as images and books from other inspirational artists.
