Step into my Virtual Studio!
I'm Rebecca, working from my own studio in Moffat. While you can explore my virtual space here, I warmly invite you to join me in person during the Spring Fling Weekend. Experience first hand how I create my work, and view my work in the gallery room.

About My Practice

I make decorative and useful stoneware pottery for the home; bud vases, ginger jars, moon jars, bowls, mugs, pouring bowls, brooches.
I've created new glazes in soft colours of mauve Corncockle and Seaglass. My most recent work focuses on the Mishima technique, using handmade stamps.

Tools & Materials

I primarily use the potter's wheel, although lately I've found myself rediscovering the joy of hand building. My clay is buff stoneware clay, and I blend stoneware buff with black clay to create unique textures and tones. I fire with an electric kiln, to high temperatures, reaching up to 1260 degrees Celsius to achieve the desired finish and durability.
