As we collaborate on every painting there is always a hive of creativity in the studio. We are often sat in our comfy swivel chairs chatting about ideas, surrounded by ongoing pieces, sketches, paints, inks, hand cut embellishments, and anything else that might inspire…
As we are greatly inspired by nature, it is through walks in the Galloway landscapes and seaside that are often the starting point for creations.

About My Practice
We are always working on a body of work for the various collections we have; often finishing pieces for shows around the UK.
Miller James is currently in a type of ‘Renaissance’ with 2026 a launch of new artwork, where some of our collections from over 10 years will no longer be available and all new collections to come…
Tools & Materials
Rich pigment ink pots are always dotted about the studio, trays filled with oil paint tubes colour coordinated (for a while at least!) laid up. Brushes a plenty in cups and jars, hand cut embellishments in their various compartments and the panels canvases we paint on propped all around us…

Spring Fling Activity
