From intimate portrait photography to dramatic set-piece narrative photos of large groups, I love to work with people to create photos where they can be the hero, heroine or even villain of their own epic images.
I’m Kim Ayres, and I’m a creative, professional, portrait and narrative photographer, making amazing sets of photos and unforgettable experiences for individuals, couples, families and friends; as well as high-end creative promotional photography for businesses and organisations.
Like so many small, self employed businesses in the service and creative sectors, Covid-19 has put my business, and income, on hold for the forseeable future.
However, this has finally given me the time to set up a weekly video podcast called Understanding Photography with Kim Ayres, which you can tune into every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm (UK time) on Facebook Live. Each week I explore the story behind one of my photo shoots, offer up tips, tricks and techniques used by professional photographers, and give constructive feedback on photos people submit.
I have set up a Facebook Group, also called Understanding Photography with Kim Ayres, where you can post your questions, or images for critique, so I can include them in each episode. Please join the group if you would like to take part.
I also record these as they go at live, and then usually upload them to YouTube within 48 hours. So if you visit my channel then you can explore all the previous episodes. Don’t forget to subscribe!
I am currently looking into setting up subscription and voucher options as a way for people to save up for future shoots, so that once this is over, you can have that precious photo shoot with your family, friends and loved ones, or restart your businesses with powerful engaging imagery.
There will also be options for one-to-one personalised, tailored online sessions to help take your photography to the next level.
Please get in contact for a relaxed, no obligation chat if this might be of interest to you.
