Allan Wright
My work encompasses a diverse range of photographic images, blending the genres of nature, landscape, architecture, abstract and reportage. I present these images in both classic and abstract forms, ultimately producing ultra-permanent high-resolution Giclée prints in limited editions, available in various sizes and styles.
About My Practice
Inspired by the interplay between natural beauty and human creations, I perceive my role as a “receiver-transmitter.” Through the lens of my left eye and the creativity of my right brain, I focus on the narrative and aesthetic qualities of my subjects. My goal is to define bold forms while capturing the essence of both Scottish landscapes and international locations. I aspire to evoke a sense of place, infusing my work with an inherent lyricism that draws viewers deeper into the image content.
Tools & Materials
I continue to explore the bond between art, nature, and light, delving into aspects of color and form. I am attuned to the precision required for achieving strong compositions in my images. Additionally, I have been refining a High Dynamic Range (HDR) technique that produces a strikingly rich and realistic range of tones within complex images. I am also experimenting with options to create ultra-large image panels up to three meters long for innovative interior design concepts.
