Ailsa Black

My work is based on my experiences of life in rural Scotland and the landscape, animals, birds and people that surround me.  I am interested in the use of these core influences, which merge with my imagination, to convey a light-hearted, quirky and whimsical narrative on aspects of rural life.  I work in acrylic paint with a limited but bold palette of colours and a modern slightly stylised use of form.  Original paintings will be for sale as well as a large choice of cards and giclee prints.
