I am a Scottish/French (Breton) sculptor, I grew up in a Parisian suburb, spending my summer holidays with my Granny in Galloway.

We are husband and wife, Doug Fitch and Hannah McAndrew and we make slipware pottery from our workshop near Corsock in beautiful Dumfries and Galloway.
About My Practice
Britain boasts a particularly fine tradition of slipware pottery. We draw on this rich heritage and use it as the basis for our own work, where we attempt to capture the essence of these historical pieces, reinterpreted in a contemporary style.
Tools & Materials
We throw pots on the wheel or use press moulding and slab building techniques. We decorate pots with applied clay patterns and sprigs, with trailed, poured and brushed slips and finish them with rich, glossy glazes.
