Cille Anglevik
Although Norwegian, I have sprung deep roots in Dumfries. I am curious about the universes people carry within. I use ink to build a continuance where words fall short, hoping you might recognize fractures of your own universe in mine.

About My Practice
My inspirations range from vintage comics to narratives from my own writing. The worlds I create in my paintings capture moments that feel real enough to visit. I see all my work as one; sculpture, painting, or story are different ways to tell the less tangible. Career wise i am on a roll with good momentum.
Tools & Materials
I work with traditional tools like dip pens and brushes, and I have grown fond of the natural ink from Old Mill Arts. My workspace includes pictures and print outs I use for inspiration, way too many cold cups of coffee, green plants to focus, and discarded food I forgot I was eating. It is a space of painting frenzy; the vibe is very double bathrobe and woollen socks on cold days.

Spring Fling Activity
During Spring Fling, I run an inclusive, donation-based workshop creating micro-stories. Open to all, but specifically welcoming visitors with special needs to create and exhibit their own illustrated tales
