Jesse Ball – Jupiter’s Grace

Organic forms, sacred relics and ancient treasures, imperfect and marked by history are some of the things that inspire and excite me. I create jewellery in an intuitive way, transforming gold, silver and gems into wearable talismans. My jewellery can symbolise an intention, represent a story or mark a precious moment.

About My Practice

Through my talismanic jewellery, I aim to evoke a feeling of magic, mystery and adventure – that spark of excitement and wonder when one comes across an ancient treasure, freshly exposed.

My workshop has travelled with me from Ireland (where it was built by me and my partner) and up through to Scotland where it is now. I feel so grateful to have such an amazing space and to be able to take it with me wherever I go.

As my mobile studio is too small to fit lots of people in I'll be based in The Eskdalemuir Hub during Spring Fling2024.

Visitors this year will be able to see many new jewellery treasures, including my new collection inspired by a recent 400 mile cycle pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago in Spain.

Tools & Materials

I mould and carve wax and cast it into gold or silver, I also make bespoke pieces with customers’ own, unworn heirloom jewellery. Gems are chosen for their aesthetic beauty, astrological meaning and 'personality'. I weave meaning and feeling into every piece I make.
