Jesse Ball

Organic forms, sacred relics and ancient treasures, imperfect and marked by history are some of the things that inspire and excite me. I create jewellery in an intuitive way, transforming gold, silver and gems into wearable talismans. My jewellery can symbolise an intention, represent a story or mark a precious moment.

About My Practice

Through my talismanic jewellery, I aim to evoke a feeling of magic, mystery and adventure – that spark of excitement when one comes across an ancient treasure, freshly exposed.
My workshop has travelled with me from Ireland (where it was built by my partner and I) and up through to Scotland where it is now. I feel so grateful to have such an amazing space and to be able to take it with me wherever I go.

Tools & Materials

I mould and carve wax and cast it into gold or silver and also make bespoke pieces with customer's own, unworn heirloom jewellery. I choose gems for their aesthetic beauty, astrological meaning and 'personality', weaving meaning and feeling into every piece I make.

Spring Fling Activity

I plan to do a casting demonstration on Friday evening to show how some of my pieces are created.
