I create intuitive mixed-media portraits that begin with quiet geometry and unfold into emotion and story. My practice explores the subtle truths of being human, revealing faces that feel familiar, imperfect and beautifully alive.

About My Practice
I create intuitive mixed-media portraits that begin with simple facial geometry and develop through layered materials such as ink, rice paper, pastel and charcoal. Influenced by human behaviour, emotional depth and my long-term commitment to personal development, my work explores the subtle truths that shape us. I’m currently developing my Shared Humanity series and expanding my exhibition presence, while also teaching narrative-portrait workshops that help others explore identity and creativity. My practice is evolving, ambitious and rooted in curiosity.
Tools & Materials
I work between my roof-space studio and a small garden studio. I begin each portrait with simple geometric sketches before building layers with ink, rice paper, charcoal, pastels and acrylic. Alongside the artwork, I keep journals where I explore ideas, observations and the themes I’m curious about. Visitors are welcome to read these journals to see how my thoughts and research shape the work.
